Although this design is just over 2000 sq ft, it packs a lot of punch. This concept done in collaboration with Keepers of the Circle had the vision of being a space that supports the intergenerational transfer of Indigenous Knowledge and promotion of food sovereignty. To achieve this a small food forest guild was implemented, along with raised beds for annual crops, rainwater harvesting, teaching spaces and rest spots for elders, composting and nutrient cycling systems, medicine gardens, and plenty of space for children to engage and explore.

This was project 1 of 2. A second, larger site was also developed in collaboration with Keepers of the Circle in Kirkland Lake.
